He was a trucker and died in a truck accident out of state. He was the husband of Bessie Olive Johnson, married 22 July 1946.
Funeral services for James Ray Harmon, 31 year old Crane resident who was killed in an auto accident Thursday near Hugo, Oklahoma, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hurley High School gymnasium.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Olive; a daughter, Shirley Kay; three sons, Dennis Ray, Rodney James, and Donnie Ross of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Harmon of Crane; two sisters, Mrs. Atha Lee Sanders of Hurley; a brother, Gene, Crane, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Springer of Hurley.
Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Marionville under direction of Manlove of Crane.
