| Birth: | Jan. 1, 1994 Alabama, USA | | Death: | Jun. 11, 2007 Alabama, USA | I'll set up the story for you. A family member asks us to meet him at DH's workplace. "I have something for you. Very important". That's how we met MicMac. He was the size of a hotdog bun and was handed off to DH as a birthday gift. A friend (of a friend's) family dabbled in backyard breeding:( Poor Mic, he was last of the litter and was a scrawny, wirey-looking Brillo pad w/an attitude that was as abrasive. We had gained possession of the snarkiest li'l beast ever!!
♥♥♥ But OH! how he loved his DADDY! ♥♥♥
He took to him before the guy left that day. I had to take him home since DH's workday was not over. In no uncertain terms he let it be known I stole him from his new buddy and I was not to forget it for... 13yrs. That is a Top Ten mystery to me: how bonding can take place in a nanosecond; yet, I witnessed it:) Somehow he knew all the remarks I'd EVER made about Terriers. (Just kidding, terrier lovers:) I'm sorry, I just like low-pitched, soft-spoken dogs who don't bounce off walls. Mic was a Yorkie/Poodle mix. Nothing of his personality was poodle. Only his need for a bath every other day. I was Mic's 2nd best friend for several weeks until down another rung on his list I went when he fell in love w/Charmin. (All things here are spay/neutered.)
Wherever his daddy went, you'd find da Mic. He had his daddy wrapped around every claw and both loved it that way. Watching them together was even endearing!!.... and worth everything:) When Sophie became part of our family his attitude had begun smoothing out. By the time she left us, he was becoming a gentleman. His tacky ways had mellowed towards me and the outside world. Even bringing in sistah kitties didn't rile him. He accepted a new sister-dog, Mandy, w/o a hitch. They became fast buds.
The last few years of his life he would actually jump in my chair and grace me w/his presence, talk nice, and let me massage him. He was a changed Mic. He had begun his journey to perfection in '94 and was ready to graduate June 11, 2007.
Love AND MISS you, MicMac. Your daddy isn't over you yet, little man.
