Bernice H. Crump, 87, went to be with the Lord and Jenny Wednesday in her home.
She was born on April 6, 1920, in Flemingsburg, Ky. to the late Homer and Edith (Saunders) Dillon. Bernice came to Marion in 1952. She worked and retired from RCA.
She was a member of the IBEW Union, Women's Missionary Council and the First Assembly to God Church where she was a member of the Volunteer Class. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking was her passion. She loved her grandchildren and they were especially important to her.
Survivors include three children, Donald L. (Margaret) Crump, Apache Junction, Ariz., Phyllis A. Peterson, Marion and Kenneth W. Crump, Milwaukee, Ore.; one brother, James Brooks Dillon, Mount Carmel, Ky.; five sisters, Belle Talley, Louise Williamson, Opal Darnell, Lucy (John) Miller, all of Marion and Dorothy Jones, Cincinnati; brother-in-law, Cecil Glasscock, Tilton, Ky.; five grandchildren, Brad (Connie) Crump, Marion, Melissa (Kevin) Gogel, Indianapolis, Scott (Kelley) Jones, Valparaiso, Barton (Stefanie) Jones, Gas City and Tim Crump, Little Rock, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren, Ellen and Meredith Crump, Evan, Ethan and Easton Gogel, Connor and Mackenzie Jones, Eli and Cameron Jones.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Amos Dillon; sister, Emma Catherine Glasscock; granddaughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Jones; Jennifer
grandson, Tony Crump; and one great-granddaughter, Maddeson Jones.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, Marion.
