Graveside services for Hershel Ray Harris, 28, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Metropolitan Community Church, 4501 University Ave. Arrangements are by Ossie Curry Funeral Home of Lubbock. He departed this life Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, in Amarillo.
He was born Jan. 21, 1976 in Lubbock to the late Hershel Ray and Deborah Harris. He was a resident of Lubbock most of his life. Hershel was a waiter and a member of Metropolitan Community Church of Lubbock. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ella Mae Harris.
Those left to mourn his passing include his companion, John Martinez of Lubbock; maternal grandfather, Ray Cox of Oklahoma; brothers, Justin and Michael Harris, both of Lubbock; and a close friend, Kirby Priester.
