Anna E. Wolfgang Dies in This City
Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Wolfgang, a lifelong resident of the Punxsutawney area, died this morning in the Adrian Hospital here following a lingering illness. She was 77 years of age.
Mrs. Wolfgang, who had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Dora Palmer, of Punxsutawney RD3, formerly in Rossiter.
She was born July 6, 1881, in Canoe Ridge, Indiana County, a daughter of Philip and Eva Henry Domb. She was married first to Robert Lunger, who died in 1918, and later married Charles Wolfgang, who died in 1944. Mrs. Wolfgang was a member of the E.U.B. Church in Rossiter.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Ellenberger, of Punxsutawney, and Mrs. Dora Palmer, of Punxsutawney RD3; one son, Thomas Lunger, of Rossiter, and these step-sons and step-daughter; Russell Wolfgang, of Rossiter; Mrs. Mildred Buterbaugh and Mrs. Ruth Murray, of Juneau; Mrs. Gladys Lewis, of Ernest, and Kenneth Wolfgang, of Creekside. She leaves also 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Carl Noerr, of Rochester Mills RD1.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Schenkemeyer Funerl Home in this city. The Rev. M.A. Pearce will officiate and interment will be in Marchand Cemetery.
Friends will be received in the funeral home after 7.
