Mary Joan Bussell, age 82, of Monroe, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 13, 1930 in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of David H. Wilson and Kathleen Wade. Mary was a school teacher in Monroe and Amanda Elementary in Middletown, retiring after 25 years. She is survived by three sons, David Leslie (wife, Noralee) Bussell of Centerville, James Daniel (wife, Vallerie) Bussell of Trenton, Kenneth Lee (wife, Ruth) Bussell of Dublin; son-in-law, Damon Amis of Monroe; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Bussell in 2007 and her daughter, Karen Lynn Amis in 2012. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Wednesday at the Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Avenue, Monroe with Pastor Tim Waugh officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at North Monroe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050. Arrangements are provided by the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.
