WINGER, Bert – On Wednesday September 14, 2011 Bert passed away peacefully in his sleep at Gilmore Lodge at the age of 86 years. Bert Winger, beloved husband to Shirley (Climenhaga) for 66 years. Cherished father to Ivan and Judy, Glen and Barb, Sharon and Garry, Lyle, Sandra and Brian, Orlin and Gloria, Dale and Colleen and Nancy and Gordon. Bert leaves fond memories and will be sadly missed by his twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Bert was predeceased by his brother Roy.
Bert was a well known and respected carpenter in the Fort Erie area. A sincere thank-you to the entire staff at Gilmore Lodge and Crescent Park Lodge for going above and beyond while caring for Bert over the last few years.
Friends may call at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 722 Ridge Road North, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at the Bertie Brethren in Christ Church on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock.
