Lester Roland Webber was the son of Charles Martin & Rosa Lee Tindall, was born in Appleby, Tx with his twin brother Carl Raymond Webber. He was raised on a farm, he attended school in Nacogdoches. He is one of nine children.
In approxomately 1937 the family moved to Garrison. On January 23, 1981 he united in marriage with Juanita Mansfield. In Vidor at First Assembly of God Church by Bro. A W Davis. They have enjoyed 33 years together with a wonderful family.
He served in the United States Army overseas from 1942 until 1945, during World War II. His primary occupation being a pipefitter, machinist. Military Qulifications: Good Conduct Medal and Carbine Marksman. He was also in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
After returning from the Service, Mr Webber went to work for Mobil Oil Company in Beaumont, Tx for 37 years.
He was of the Baptist Faith and his membership resides at the Lakeview First Baptist Church in Brookeland, Tx. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He has lived the last 32 years in Brookeland on beautiful Lake Sam Rayburn.
He enjoyed all animals, but especially squirrels, birds and deer. He loved flowers and plants, raising a vegetable garden every year. He also enjoyed people. He loved to pick, and tell stories about the good old days, He always saw humor in everything, and if it got bad, our family prayed together. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great and great great over. He looked for all the children to come see him and was much happier when we all were present. and very special to him is the fact that we were there with him in the last hours.
