He was a member of Westside Nut Club (founded the Lighthouse Parade), Masonic Lodge #64, Westside Hi 12 Club, Evansville Foreman's Club, VFW Post # 1114, American Legion Post #8 and the National Tool & Die Association. He formerly worked for Hoosier Cardinal. He and his wife Mary Jane Cox were married 62 years.
