Henry W. Ford of No. 29 Petrolia
street died in the Bradford hospital
at 3:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon
following an operation. The remains
were taken to Koch and Oxley's mortuary
and prepared for burial and
later removed to the home.
Mr. Ford was born in Port Hope,
Ontario, seventy-five years ago. He
came to the states and engaged in the
oil business at Titusville, Pa., later removing
to this city where he had been
a resident for 12 years. He was a
member of the old Bradford stock exchange
and prominent in business
circles until recent years when he retired
from active duties on account
of failing health.
He was a member of the First
Methodist church in this city.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters.
Miss Jessie L. Ford of this city
and Mrs. F. C. Chapman of Findlay,
Ohio; and one sister, Mrs. James F.
Janes, Port Hope, Ont.
Funeral services will be held at 3
o'clock Saturday afternoon and interment
will be made in Oak Hill
cemetery.
