The following notes from the late John D. Baldwin (50+ year Delong researcher).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MARY (1-2-1-1), apparently oldest daughter and born 1735-6, died 1812 or 1814 (two letters by great-grandson Daniel Cronkhite). She married Jan 27 (Hopewell church) or Feb 20 (Rombout Church) 1750-1 Hendrick "Henry" Cronkheit (Cronkhite, Krankheit, etc) born 1720 (Meda E. (Cronkhite)Francesco book) or 1730 (Pat Currigan). Francesco indicates Henry's father went from Long Island to Irvington, Westchester Co., NY, so Henry could have been born either, although I have also seen claim of Philipsburg birth. I have also seen a claim, unsubstantiated, then Henry settled in Danbury, CT before marrying in Dutchess. He was in Claverack, now Columbia Co., by 1759, in Hoosick now Rensselaer Co. before the Rev. War. in Canajoharie 1790 then Danube and Minden all NY. In the Rev War. he served in the 14th Albany Co. Militia, the same unit as a Jacob DeLong who eventually settled York Co, Ontario, and an otherwise unknown Nicholas DeLong. My guess is that these were of the family of Mary's uncle Nicholas (1-2-4).
Mary & Henry's children:
1. Tunis Cronkhite b. 1753.
2. Mary Cronkhite b. 1754.
3. Aury Cronkhite b. 1757.
4. Cornelis Cronkhite b. 1759.
5. Anna Cronkhite b. 1762.
6. Hannah Cronkhite b. 1764.
7. Henry Cronkhite, Jr. b. 1768.
8. Jacob Cronkhite b. 1771.
9. Altje/Alche/Alida Cronkhite b. 1774.
10. John Cronkhite b. 1777.
Note: another source writes that there was an earlier son Aury Cronkhite b. Nov. 14, 1754, d. 1755. If so would have been a twin to Mary. (no other info)
