Birth: Dec. 1, 2009
Death: May 25, 2011

The Birthday for Winky was the date I took him home, he had been in the shelter for a week and was dropped off at the shelter when only a baby kitten, they (the shelter) guesstimated him to have been dropped off at 6 weeks old. They had just gotten him in from the foster home the week before, So I guess really they only allowed him a week to get adopted out. But, here is his story.

This is my blind cat Winky, he was so adorable.

I was in the local SPCA when a volunteer came walking by me with this little furball, I stopped her and ask her where was she going with that adorable little bundle. She informed me they were putting him down because he was blind and would never get adopted.

Needless to say, I said oh no you are not putting that adorable little man down, give him to me, I walked straight out front paid my fees and walked out with Winky curled up in my arms.

They were suppose to wait 24 hours but they were all crying and so thankful that they did not have to put this sweet baby down that they let me take him without question. I did send them pictures of Winky and keep them updated on how he was doing.

He loved his new home, it was a challenge at first but this brave little furball was a curious little thing, he even mastered the stairs without trouble.

He was so determined to do what he wanted and when he wanted, he would find me and meow pick me up mom and love on me, so I would, he slept in my lap when I watched T.V. did not care if I loved on him or not, he was just content laying there.

He would walk in circles to know his boundries, if you have ever seen a kitten chase his tail that is what it looked like he did all the time, he did this until he got used to the house, then he would run through it.

Winky was a much loved kitty, he may have been tossed out at the SPCA and on his last walk but, I had to have him as soon as I lay my eyes on him, he knew he was loved and safe and would never want for nothing.

He even had a favorite treat, he would climb my leg for to get up on my counter and get, TUNA, this baby was nuts over Tuna, anytime he heard me using the can opener he would be up my leg and on the counter meowing his excitement.

He had a ball that rattled when you smacked it, he loved that ball and would chase after it, he knew where it was and would listen to the sound of it to find where it stopped.

Winky was an amazing kitty, I miss him terribly.

Winky was sent to Rainbow Bridge due to cancer. He knew he was so loved. I miss him so much.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Thanks to GeorgiaCA for sponsoring Winky's Memorial. Visit with her Furry loved ones to PLEASE.

Baby Buttercup

This was Winky's favorite Pillow buddy, he would curl up next to her and sleep so soundly. He loved Sable and she must have loved him to, she tolerated him very well.
