Mrs. Frank Flower Dies In Florida
NEWTON FALLS - Mrs. Frank (Mabelle) Flower, 75, 238 Bane Ave., died of complications following surgery at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Waterman Memorial Hospital, Eustis, Fla. She and her husband were spending the winter in Mount Dora, Fla. Born Jan. 2, 1892 in Greene, she was the daughter of William and Edith [Gunn] Winans.
A resident here since 1959, coming from Warren, she was a member of the First Christian Church and Newton Falls Garden Club here, Daughter of America and Tower Class of Second Christian Church of Warren and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Flower, whom she married in 1959; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Geraldine) Ray of Warren; a son, Ernest Gardner of Canton; a sister, Mrs. Verna Hartman of Leavittsburg; three brothers, Aylmer Winans of Cortland, Walter and Bernard Winans, both of Canton; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the James Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
