FORMER MEMBER OF COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

Special to the Journal.
Story City, April 8--Jacob H. Jacobson, 75, former member of the Story County Board of Supervisors, died at his home here at 11:30 a. m. today from the effects of cancer of the stomach.

The funeral will be held at St. Petri Church, Story City, Friday at 2:00 P. M.

Mr. Jacobson was one of the pioneers of this part of the county. He lived for many years on his farm a mile north of Gilbert, but about seven years ago moved into Story City and his had since been his home.

Besides being one of the prominent farmers and landowners of this part of the county, he had served for about seven years of the Board of Supervisors of Story County.

He was elected to two terms, serving from 1910 to 1915, inclusive and was later appointed to fill the unexpired term of F. H. Menzel, serving from March, 1928 to the first of January, 1929.

Mr. Jacobson was also active in the affairs of the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Story and adjoining counties, having served as president for many years.

He leaves besides his second wife, five sons and two daughters by his first wife. The sons are Ole A., George and William Jacobson of near Gilbert; Theodore of near Story City and Lewis of Story City. The daughters are Mrs. Albert Askelson of Story City and Miss Minnie Jacobson, employed in Nevada.
