Wilbur "Bill" K. Hoffman, 91, of Memphis, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 32 years, Georgette Bradfield Hoffman, his second wife of 30 years, Hazel Baggett Hoffman, and his brother, Allen Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his children, Helen P. Curry, Allen D. Hoffman, Barbara A. Whitney, Wilbur K. Hoffman Jr., Teresa M. Gallarno, Richard D. Hoffman, and David K. Hoffman, 19 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hoffman proudly served 24 years in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of WWII, D-Day, Pointe Du Hoc Normandy, France.
He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor and Oak Leaf. He was also in CCC's and the U.S. Forestry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. and a funeral on Friday also at the funeral home starting at 10am.
