Arthur Hibbs, 79, of 520 McKinley Ave., Carrollton, died Saturday in his home after an illness of nine months. A native of Kilgore, he had resided in Carrollton the past 12 years. Mr. Hibbs was a member of Kilgore Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ellen Hibbs; one son, Harry of Rt. 2, Carrollton; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Roudebush of Rt. 4, Carrollton, and Mrs. Hazel Strawder of Rt. 2, Scio; one brother, William of Cadiz; a sister, Mrs. Laura Craig of Tennessee, and seven grandchildren. His first wife, Lieujetta (Lewis) Hibbs, died in 1942. Services were Tuesday at the Sweeney Funeral Home here with Rev. William D. Wolfe officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, in Jewett, Ohio.
