Edith Earley Arrowood CHARLOTTE - Edith Arrowood, 88, of Charlotte, NC, passed on January 6, 2013, at the Legacy. She was born on February 17, 1924, in Rutherford County, NC, a daughter of the late Muried and Eva Selvey Earley; beloved wife of her late husband, Alvin K. Arrowood, Sr.; and loving sister to her late brothers Guy, George and John Earley and sister Sue Turner. She was a former member of the Eastern Star, Mizpah Chapter #36. Edith had been a long-time member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church and their Epworth Sunday School Class. She was a wonderful homemaker and excellent cook. Mrs. Arrowood is survived by her sons, Ken Arrowood and wife Janis, Jeff Arrowood and wife Terri; her daughter, June Miller and husband Lewis; grandchildren, Darel Arrowood, Bri McIntyre and Andy McIntyre and wife, Michelle; great-grandchildren, Jordan M. Arrowood, Ellis Venhuizen and Maxx McIntyre; and great-great-grandson, Tayeson Bowers. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in the chapel of Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum will be private.
