SCARBROUGH - Funeral services for Cater H. Scarbrough, 66, who died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997 will be held Tuesday at 10 am in George H. Hewell and Son Northside Funeral Home with Dr. E.C. McDaniel officiating. Interment in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday (Today) from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Mr. Scarbrough was a native of Cairo, Georgia and a longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL. He was a retired employee with 35.5 years service with St. Regis Paper Mill and was past President of United Papermakers Association #626. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Barnard Scarbrough: 1 daughter, Teresa Lynn Clark (James); 2 sons, Hubert M. Scarbrough Sr. and George A. Scarbrough, Sr.; 2 sisters, Joyce Justice and Betty Sue Taranto; 2 brothers, Earl Scarbrough and Robert Scarbrough; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Serving as active Pall Bearers will be: Raymond Flight, M.L. Dickey, Jimmy Largin, Robert Dulls, Doug Joos, C.G. Sweat and David B. Barnard.
