Born Frank Anthony Vallelonga, he is best known for the interpretation of the boss Carmine Lupertazzi in the television series "The Sopranos" between 2001 and 2007. A native of an Italian family but an American citizen, he served in the United States Army stationed in Germany during the years of military occupation. Tony Lip began his film career in 1970, when he debuted in the movie "The Godfather" by interpreting a secondary role. He has appeared in several successful films including "Raging Bull" and "Goodfellas" by Martin Scorsese, "Year of the Dragon" by Michael Cimino,"Lock Up","Donnie Brasco" and in the television series "Law & Order".
