I just ran across some information on Bert that he had told his grandson. Bert attended Emerson Elementary and East High School. He was asked if he graduated from East High and he said he had graduated from Liberty Park Ice Skating Pond. I also found out that he loved ice skating, roller skating, sleigh riding and bobsledding.
He worked several jobs, including, wall paper cleaning, Battery technition, He worked for Motor Express Company of Wyoming, he hauled freight, The company changed names to Rocksprings, and he worked for the Motor Express Company for 18 years. He worked for Foreign Motor Car Company and for Pennock Pest Control. He was working for Pennock when I first met Bert. Bert was a very close family friend for many years.
He boarded at our house for many years.
REST IN PEACE BERT
