Edith Juanita Page, 80, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday December 17, 2000 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
The daughter of the late John Everett and Viola Violet (Vincent) Mathes, she was born January 3, 1920 in Putnam County, Missouri.
On November 5, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ransley Raymond Peek, Sr., and he preceded her in death February 3, 1943. On July 11, 1946, she was united in marriage to Marion Arthur Page, Sr., and he preceded her in death October 10, 1984.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy Mathes; two sisters, Hazel (Shipley) Brown and Blanche (Shipley) Cowan; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Peek; two grandsons, Jimmie LaDue and Brian Page; a grandson-in-law, Allen "Chip" Davis; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Preston and a great-grandson, Derrick Gosney.
Survivors include children, R. Raymond "Ray" Peek and wife Joan of Memphis, Missouri; John L. Peek, Sr., of rurual Kirksville, Missouri; Willa June (Peek) Bowen of LaPlata, Missouri; Larry D. Page and wife Edie of Kirksville, Missouri; Alice (Page) Gosney and husband Bill of rural Novelty, Missouri and Marion A. Page, Jr., and wife Joan of Loomis, California.
Surviving grandchildren include Dawn (Peek) Smith and husband Ronnie; Tracy (Peek) Miller and husband Danny; Rayann (Peek) Brown and husband James; Cheri (Peek) Claman; Tina (Peek) Davis; John L. Peek, Jr., and wife Camela; Shelley (Bowen) Wheeler; Patti (Bowen) Preston and husband Steve; Deon "Marc" Bowen; Danielle Bowen; Rex Page; James Page; Michael "Brant" Tripp; Stephanie (Tripp) Summers and husband Fred; Amber (Tripp) Hark and husband Jim; Terry Gosney and wife Lora; Kevin Gosney and wife Jodi; Jennifer Gosney; Vicki Gosney; Chris Page and Spencer Page.

Also surviving are two very special sisters-in-law, Allene Mathes and Ethel Speaks both of Kirksville, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Garnett Peak and Carolyn of Kirksville, Missouri; a very dear friend of many years, Mary Penwell of Springfield, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Edith was a faithful Christian, having accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and placing her faith and trust in her Heavenly Father just prior to the death of her first husband. She taight Sunday School for several years and served as Vice-President and President of the Kirksville chapter of Women's Aglow Fellowship. At the time of her death, she was serving as President of the Resident's Council at Kirksville Manor Care Center wher e she has resided since February 9, 1999.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in LaPlata, Missouri. Through her testimony, many have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. She was dearly loved by her family and by her many friends and she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 20, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Travis-Noe Funeral Chapel in Kirksville, Missouri with the Rev. Darrell draper officiating. Musical selections will be: "How Great Tho Art" sung by Jimmie Brown; "One Day At A Time" sung by LaMara Bworn; "Serenaded By Angels" recorded by Alice Gosney; "Ain't No Grave" recorded by Larry Page and "Throne of Grace" recorded by Terry Clark. Organist will be Cheyrl Newland.
Burial will be in the "Garden of the Cross" section of Park View Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will include her grandsons: John Peek, Jr., Michael Tripp, Marc Bowen,Rex Page, Kevin Gosney and Ronnie Smith. Honorary bearers will be Danny Miller, Steve Preston, James Page, Jim Hark, Fred Summers and Terry Gosney.
