MELVIN "Uncle" CARROLL was born in Iuka, Mississippi on September 13, 1948 the son of the late Harris and Grace Anditon Carroll.

Mr. Carroll was a retired construction worker. He was a member of West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee. Mr. Carroll was a United States Marine Corps. Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, Tennessee Basketball and Football and also watching Westerns.

He departed this life on April 5, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 23 days.

Mr. Carroll is survived by 2 daughters, Amanda Denise Carroll of Selmer, Tennessee and Mary Suzanne Carroll King of Reagan, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Gracie Jade King and Jonathan Henry King, Jr.; 4 sisters, Stella Ray of Spring City, Tennessee, Ann Williams of Booneville, Mississippi, Linda Ard of Tupelo, Mississippi and Josie Morris of Michie, Tennessee; 2 brothers, Neal Carroll of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma and Wayne Carroll of Michie, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Jon Christopher Carroll and 4 sisters, Jeanette Patterson, Myra Byrd, Judy Gober and Alma Crowley.
