William H. Mangelsdorf, 96, of Mission Hills, Kansas, died at a hospital in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was born in Atchison, Kansas, and lived in the Kansas City area since 1923. He was married to Iona Judy, they had four daughters.
William was a paving engineer for the J.C. Nichols Company for 36 years before he retired in 1961.
He was a member of the Roeland Park United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his four daughters, Mrs. Helen Hansen, Mrs. Maurine Fate, Mrs. Charlotte Krause, and Mrs Ruth Bohn. Also surviving are two brothers, Henry Mangelsdorf, and Walter Mangelsdorf, both from Clayton, New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Poole, and Mrs. Emma Bartlett; ten grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
