MRS. FRANK P. CHEW
California, Nov. 4 - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Chew, aged 84 years, widow of Frank P. Chew and widely known resident of East Pike Run Township, died in her home Saturday at 5:50 p.m. after an illness of four weeks. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Brownsville, and active in church affairs until her health became impaired in 1930.
She leaves the following children: John R. Chew, at home; Phillip and Mrs. John Hiney, of East Pike Run Township; Mrs. Dora Theakston, of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Frank Wright of Daisytown; Mrs. George Hinton of Amsterdam, ).; Mrs. George Boden, of Chillicothe, O.; Daniel B. Chew, of Pricedale. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Samuel A. Lopp, of California; Mrs. Sarah Richards and Chauncey B. Lopp, of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Sadie Burkett and Mrs. Elmira Bishop, of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Laura Marker, West Brownsville; Mrs. Frank Orr and Mrs. George Gue, of South Brownsville. There are 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the late home Tuesday at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. G. E. Buhan. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
