DAVENPORT - Celebration of Life Services for Marvin L. Brown, Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park, with military services by Moline American Legion Post 246. Visitation is 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Marvin passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. He retired from Ralston Purina in 1992. Marvin was born May 14, 1932, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Wilma (Bohnsack) Brown. He married Sandra Emery on Aug. 4, 1956, in Davenport. He later married Mildred Quigley on Oct. 12, 1984, in Davenport. He served in the Navy in Korea. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two sons, Guy Brown, Davenport, and Michael Brown, Aurora, Colo.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dawn Drumm (Leslie) , Blue Grass, and Rene Oakley, Davenport; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; step-children, Sandra Cole (Larry), Davenport, Kimberlie Schneden (Mark), Lynxville, Wis., Kristin Callaway (Paul), Davenport, and Thomas Quigley (Karen), Muscatine; nine step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Brown (Shirley), Broomfield, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William; a sister, Jeanette Clapp; and a daughter, Beth Ann.
