AGED MT. PALATINE LADY IS LAID TO REST
Mrs. Theisinger, 89, Passes Away Jan. 3 in Hospital at Streator.
One of Mt. Palatine's oldest former residents, Mrs. Philippina Theisinger, 89, died at 1 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1950, at St. Mary's hospital in Streator. Her death came 17 days before her 90th birthday. She had been in failing health for the last serval months, but had been at the hospital but a few days.
A native of Germany, she was born Jan. 20, 1870, (should be 1960?) a daughter of John and Philippina Miller Weber. She was united in marriage with John Theisinger in 1881, and came to America in April, 1885. Mr. and Mrs. Theisinger spent the reminder of their lives farming in LaSalle and Putnam counties, retiring to Mt. Palatine, where Mr. Theisinger died in June, 1932. Mrs. Theisinger remained in her home in Mt. Palatine until December, 1936, when she gave up her home to live with her children.
The following children survive: Amiel, Emma and Arthur Theisinger, Wenona; Henry of Streator; Charles of LaSalle; William and Mrs. Elmer (Ollie) Fiedler, Granville; Mrs. Paul (Stella) Vollenweider, Monticello, Ind.; and Ann Theisinger of Phoenix, Ariz. A daughter, Clara, Preceded her in death in 1928.
Also surviving are14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; one brother and a sister, living in Germany.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 at the Dysart funeral home here, with the Rev. J. M. Johnson, pastor of the County Line Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will be made in the family lot in Hope cemetery, Lostant. Six grandson will serve as pallbearers.
