William Charles "Mac" McCowen, a retired Fort Worth police officer, went to be with The Lord Friday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2012. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. A memorial register will be available at Biggers Funeral Home for those unable to attend the service. Pallbearers: Sons-in-law, Rick Maitland, Joe Garcia and Ken Adams; grandsons, Trevor Maitland, Nicholas Valero and Michael Southall. Honorary pallbearers: Grandsons, Stephen Southall and Hunter Garcia. Survivors: He will always be loved by his wife of 35 and a half years, Carolyn McCowen of Azle; daughters, Kimberly Adams and husband, Ken, of Fort Worth, Georgette Southall of Burleson, Kamie Garcia and husband, Joe, of Azle, Carol Maitland and husband, Rick, of Fort Worth; sister, Jean Andrew and husband, Warwick, of Austin; and 11 grandchildren.
