Mary Christine Nelson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christensen, was born at Orum, this county, seventy-nine years ago and died Thursday, June 15, 1950 at Blair, Nebraska.

She spent her entire life in the county. In 1890 she was married to Morris P. Nelson. Seven children, three sons, and four daughters survive her. Hans and Martin of Blair; James of California; and Mrs. George Fleege, of Omaha; Mrs. D. H. Ringer of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Ted Stewart, of Blair; and Mrs. Harold Hoar of Walthill, Nebraska.

Other surviving relatives include ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two brothers, J.C. and Martin Christensen of Orum. Mrs. Nelson was a quiet, reserved personage, a wonderful mother, a good neighbor and a friend to everyone. Her children and friends will treasure her memories as long as time lasts.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17th from the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. Stephen Matheny officiating and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary was made in the Blair Cemetery.

In 1900, enumerated in Lincoln, Washington, Nebraska. At this time, Morris was still present. He was b ca 1868 (Jan 1868) in Denmark. Mary said to be the mother of 6 children with all six still living at this time.

Daughter, Martha, b ca 1894 in NE. Apparently the daughter who married Mr D.H. Ringer. Mar 1894. W/ Harris Ringer in Omaha in 1940 (b ca 1896 here).
