Nels Jespersen, Jr. son of Nels Jespersen, Sr. who lives south of town in the Cruikshank neighborhood, died last Saturday of diabetes, after an illness of several months. His mother died on the 25th of May of this year and he came from Idaho a short time before. He remained for the funeral and then went out to Hemingford, Neb., where his brother, Jasper, lives, returning only last Wednesday, to die at home. He failed rapidly and early Saturday morning he went to sleep from which he never wakened. The funeral will be held at the farm home at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. H. L. Koeller officiating. He was only 25 years, 6 months and 2 days old, and was a very bright and promising young man while he bore the bloom of youth. Beside his father he leaves four brothers, and three sisters, all of who were here for the funeral. Only two are married, Jasper, who lives at Hemingford, and Mrs. P. C. Patterson, who lives at Waterloo, Iowa.
