OBITUARY: E. HAYWOOD KIRKLAND

Mr. E. Haywood Kirkland, 69, of Crockett died Saturday morning at his home.
Mr. Kirkland, owner of the Kirkland Engineering Co. of Houston and Crockett, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crockett, of the San Jacinto Chapter of Professional Engineers, the International Club of Houston and the Rotary Club of Crockett. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Trinity and was a Shriner.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Crockett, with Rev. E. P. Ramsey Jr., officiating. Burial was in Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston at 3 p.m.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lou Kirkland of Crockett; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Giles of Houston; a brother, Walker Kirkland of Cold Springs; two sisters, Mrs. C. G. Duff and Mrs. Harry Saye, both of Trinity; a grandson, James Giles, and a granddaughter, Mrs. William Crain, both of Houston.
Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
