Arlene A. Svidron, 83, of Stronach passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, Dec. 23 at her home.
She was born in Detroit on June 20, 1929, the daughter of the late Steve and Myrtle (Lindeman) Zoscsak. She moved to the area with her parents at a young age. On Dec. 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to Charles Svidron. He preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1994.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Manistee; a former member of the Hospital Auxiliary at the former Memorial Hospital in Onekama, and had been a member of Christian Women. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, ceramics and bowling.
Arlene is survived by her sons, Randy Svidron of Stronach and Roy Svidron of Ludington; by her daughters, Charlene (Charles) Budzynski of Ludington and Cheryl Svidron of Stronach; by her grandchildren, Charles (Paula) Kraus of Saint Amant, Louisiana, Amanda (Joe) Bonofiglio of Kalamazoo, Rebekah Svidron of Ypsilanti and Morgan Svidron of Ludington; her great grandchildren, Lilly and Charlie Wheeler of Ypsilanti and Billy Anderson of Cadillac.
She is also survived by her brothers, Willard (Gloria) Zoscsak of Stronach and Alvin Zoscsak of Manistee; by her aunt, Geraldine Hardy of Eastlake and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Arlene was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Svidron, Jr., by infant children, Robert and Cindy Lu; by her brothers, Harold and Arnold Zoscsak and by her sister, Evelyn Mullins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Manistee with the Rev. George Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Long Lake Cemetery in Mason County. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of services.
The family has requested that those wanting to remember Arlene consider a gift in her memory to either First Baptist Church of Manistee or Hospice of Michigan.
