Ms. Hazel R. Jefferson, of Richmond, departed this life, December 19, 2012.
Hazel was preceded in death by her father, Robert Baines; mother, Jimmie Baines; sister, Carolyn White; and grandson, Desi "Lil Desi" Austin Jr.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Bonita Miles (Lando), Angelette Walker (Alex), Patricia Fox, Lafonda Williams (Mark), William, Raymond (Shara Lynn), and Weldon Jefferson; three sisters, Patricia Baines-Johnson, Valerie Christian (David), and Gwendolyn Baines; two brothers, Robert and Vernon Baines; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; aunt; cousins; friends; three devoted friends, Eugene "Van" Evans, Yolanda Jordon, and Linda Dean; and extended family member/son, Clyde Warren.
Remains rested at the Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street. Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 12 noon, at Second Baptist Church, 3300 Broad Rock Blvd. Rev. Ralph Hodge, Pastor, officiated. Interment private.
