She was the first wife of Alexander Fenton. She was born in Scotland and married Alexander, who served in WWI, in St. Andrews, Scotland. Their daughter, Mhairi Angela Mcleod Fenton, was born November 30, 1918.
A passenger manifest shows Gwladys (or Gladys) traveling with her 7-month-old daughter to Montreal, Canada.
A church record from the Anglican Christ Church Cathedral, Actes (found on Ancestry.com) shows her death and her burial in the cemetery. No cause of death is mentioned although a family story says she died in childbirth but no child was buried with her and the cemetery confirmed she died of chronic pulmonary tuberculosis.
