She immigrated to Canada in 1834 Settling in Toronto Twp., Peel Co., Ontario with them. By the time of her marriage to Thomas Elgie at Springfield (Erindale), Peel Co., Canada West on 22 Aug 1849 her father had bought Lot 21, I Concession North of Dundas Street (Old Survey, N.D.S.) where she was living.
