Birth: Oct. 9
Oswego County
New York, USA
Death: Sep., 1896
New York, USA

In the death of Sarah K. Bowen, briefly mentioned in last weeks Gazette, It would bear more than a passing notice, Sarah Kinney Fuller was born in the town of Granby, Oswego Co, October 9, the only daughter of Alonzo and Madeline Fuller. On January 20, 18?9, she was united in marriage to Sylvester W. Bowen, of this place, and after a married life of seven years, her husband was stricken down by death leaving her with two small children, now grown to womanhood, married, with families of their own, Mrs. C.L. Caulkins of Baldwinsville, and Mrs. F.E. Lewis of this place. After her husband's death she returned to the old homestead where she spent several years, moving to Onondaga Co In the spring of 1878, living there eleven years, when she returned to her native town to live with her youngest daughter, where she has passed the remainder of her years, and where she spent the last days of her sickness cared for as only a loving mother could be by both of her children, who were constantly at her bedside during her last days of suffering that medical skill could not relieve. The deceased was a loving mother, a kind and affectionate neighbor, always a friend ready and willing to help care for those in distress, by those she will be missed, and her daughters and their families will miss a mother's love, one who was always ready to assist and help them In their many trials through life. Beside her children, grandchildren and a host of sympathizing friends, she leaves an only brother, G. A. Fuller, of Jordan, N.Y., whose love for his sister was deep and affectionate, and in whose memory she will ever live as the one bright spot in his life. Funeral services were conducted from her late home and M.E. church in Little Utica, the remains were laid at rest beside her husband in Jacksonville cemetery.
