BABEL, Cecil E. "Ceese" passed away at his home in Wintersville, OH, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, after a long and courageous fight with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela "Penny" and his son, Christopher.

Born in Irondale, OH, he began working at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation prior to serving overseas from 1965 to 1967 in the 2nd Battalion 4th Cavalry 7th U.S. Army.

Upon his return home, he continued working at Wheeling-Pitt's Mingo blast furnace, retiring in 2003 after 40 years of service.

He was 68 at the time of his passing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, OH on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a service will be held Monday 10 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Ernst officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
