HILLSDALE- Edward E. Luse, 85 of Hillsdale died 9:00 am Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton. He was a farmer.

He was born September 1, 1923 in Flora, IL to George Luse and Ruth Thompson Luse. His wife of fifty-six years, Luella M. Clark Luse, whom he married November 2, 1944, preceded him in death March 22, 2001.

Survivors include three sons, Gary Walker and his wife Kay of Louisville, KY, Edward L. Luse and his Judy of Logansport, IN, Robert Luse and his wife Sandy of Lynchburg, VA; two daughters, Linda Davis and her husband Charles of Rockville, Rebecca Smith and her husband Bill of Clinton; two sisters, Marge Bice of Oklahoma and Betty Hatfield of Virginia; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and Korea. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in agriculture.

Private graveside services will be Friday, November 21, 2008 in Highland Cemetery in Hillsdale with Rev. Al Riggle officiating. Care and arrangements entrusted to Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home.
