Jean Houghton

Services for Jean Houghton, 50, of Troup, were held Nov. 27 at New Emmaus Baptist Church with the Revs. G. W. McFadden and Mike Harper officiating. Burial was in New Emmaus Cemetery in New Summerfield, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Houghton died Nov. 25, at a Tyler hospice.

She was born Dec. 9, 1954 in Jacksonville to the late Wiley and Rose Smith. She was a seamstress and member of the New Emmaus Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Troy Houghton.

Survivors include her husband; two sons; a brother; and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Tony Harris, Danny Edwards, Blake Pepper, Casey Davis, Blake Powell, Chris George and Ronnie George.
