LOCAL REALTOR BOWLING DEAD AT 72

Art Bowling, 72, local relator, died at 9:09 a.m., Monday, February 18, 2002, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Dr. Tony Barta officiating.

Burial will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time for the service.

Bowling was a self-employed real estate broker and appraiser. He was a former president of the Hopkinsville Homebuilders Association and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Board of Realtors.

He was an Air Force veteran who served as a staff sergeant in the Korean War. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Bowling, a resident of South Sunset Circle, was born in Johnson County, TN., December 28, 1929. He was the son of the late Grover C and Nancy Meade Bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Brame Bowling; three daughters, Jeane Bowling Roark, Bowling Green; Kathy Bowling, Hopkinsville; Sue Ann Bowling Lainhart, Hopkinsville and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Christian County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1233, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
