Robert Wheeler Henry, 94, of Carlisle died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born July 1, 1914, in Jersey Shore, he was a son of the late Samuel B. and Anna L. Wheeler and the widower of Helen V. Myers Henry and Mae E. Weary Henry.
He was a retired locomotive engineer for Conrail. Robert was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Carlisle Springs and the adult Sunday school class and also a member of the International Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Local Division #74.
Surviving is a stepson, Floyd H. Weary of Loysville; one brother, Frank J. Henry and his wife Rosie of Carlisle; and one sister, Jean R. Adams of Carlisle. He is also survived by stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Garrett and one brother, Lee A. Henry.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with the Rev. Dr. Darrell R. Justh. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle
