He is the ONLY one that served in the 42nd Indiana. The other Francis M Garrett (1835-1911) is buried in an unmarked grave at the Maumee Cemetery (Gibson County); he did not serve in the Civil War. His wife Louise is also buried at Maumee according to her Death Certificate (in an unmarked grave.) Some of the information on Francis M.
