Mrs. Runckel died Thursday, March 5, 1992, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
Born March 28, 1917, in Porterville, she moved to Shasta County in 1980 from Pittsburg. She worked for the Pittsburg Unified School District for 30 years and served as a vice principal. She was a member of the Mercy Medical Center Pink Lady Volunteers in Redding.
She is survived by son George of Danville; daughter Claire Gromacki of Redding and Marilyn Marblestone of Oakley; and seven grandchildren.
