Played semipro baseball; member of the Gamecock Dug Out Club; Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II and member of Greenlawn Bapt. Ch. Survived by sons, Wayne and Tony Alewine; daughter, Margaret Taylor; sister, Pearl Anderson of Michigan City, Ind.; 8 grch; a gr-grch.
