Emma Vogler Stoeckel rites Thursday

HAYFIELD -- The funeral for Emma Vogler Stoeckel will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, with the Rev. Reginald Torrison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery here.
Mrs. Stoeckel, 81, a longtime Hayfield homemaker, died Monday morning (Jan. 9, 1995) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after a long illness. She had been hospitalized one week.
Emma Vogler was born Aug. 26, 1913, in Lamberton, Minn., and attended Lamberton-area rural schools. On Jan. 17, 1932, she married Max O. Stoeckel Sr. in Waseca. He died in 1989. Mrs. Stoeckel lived in Hayfield 52 years. She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include four sons, Silvester and Harold, both of Dodge Center, Max O. Jr. of Austin and Jackie of Hayfield; two daughters, Gloria Clement of Hayfield and Esther (Mrs. Clayton) Boutelle of Count Luck, Wis.; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, a daughter, a son and two grandchildren.
Friend may call an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
Vernon Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
