Virginia attended the University of Tennesse where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Education with Teaching Creditials.
Virginia worked as a demonstrator for the University of California Extension Services and as a substitute teacher. She was also a life master in Duplicate Bridge. She loved playing bridge and enjoyed sewing needlepoint.
She is survived by her son, Nels Weldon Peterson of Ariz.; her daughter, Judith Sue Rehbeck, husband, Rory of Calif.; and granddaughter, Sara Jean Rehbeck.
