CHARLES LANDON ROBBINS--81: retired Nampa stock grower & businessman, died Tuesday evening [1-21] at the home of his son Harvey, 1415 Fourth street south, after a brief illness. MrRobbins was born 18 Apr 1865 at Afton IL. He came to Nampa in 1900 from Longmont CO & had since resided in this locality. He followed livestock raising there & the early years here. Later MrRobbins was associated with the late S D McLain in the Idaho White Pine Milling Co, a lumber mill here. He also followed the building contracting business here for 30 years.
Mr Robbins was active in civic & fraternal affairs. At one time he was a member of the city council. He was a Mason more than 50yrs & went through the chairs of Nampa Lodge No-29, AF&AM many years ago. He belonged to the Scottish Rite in Boise.
Surviving are 2 sons: Harvey Robbins-Nampa; C Dale Robbins-SanBernadino CA; 2 daus: LouiseR Huckba-Portland & JuneR Knight-San Diego CA; 7 grandchildren & 3 gr grandchild-ren. His wife died here in 1938.
Funeral services will be held in the Robinson Chapel Friday afternoon [1-24] with Rev E D McKune in charge. Masons of Lodge No-29 will have charge at the grave in Kohlerlawn cem.
