Elizabeth "Betty" Zetrouer Baxley Kreshka, 94, of Gainesville, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 following a long illness.
Mrs. Kreshka was born on December 20, 1916 in Cedar Key, Florida to the late William Thomas and Margaret Elizabeth McCumber Zetrouer, and soon after moved to Gainesville.
Mrs. Kreshka was a volunteer at the Boys Club of Jacksonville, as a Group Club supervisor. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Melrose.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Espy Baxley; sisters, Willa McPhail, Gertrude McLaurin, Marjorie Gates, her brothers, Aubrey Zetrouer and Thomas Drayton Zetrouer. She is survived by her husband, Emil Mike Kreshka; a son, John Baxley; three grandchildren, Donna Dixon, Dana James and Douglas Baxley; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Zetrouer, and by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church of Melrose, 204 State Road 26, Melrose with Rev. Jeffrey Mackey officiating. For further information contact Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, 404 N. Main Street Gainesville.
