Homer Sailor, 91, of Boiling Springs, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born November 29, 1921, in Rutherfordton, NC, he was the husband of the late Mary Sue (Foster) Sailor and son of the late Earnest and Jessie (Mauldin) Sailor.

Mr. Sailor was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army, retired from Beaumont Mill, and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his children, Nancy Smith and husband Richard of Boiling Springs, SC, William L. Sailor of El Paso, TX, and Marsha Wilson of Boiling Springs, SC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, James R. Sailor; and sister, Mae Sailor Smith.

A graveside service was conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in Sunset Memorial Park, by the Rev. Dr. Hank Williams and the Rev. Andy Case. Visitation followed at the graveside.

Memorials could be made to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316; or the American Cancer Society -Research, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
