JEANINE BOSCH Obituary

Jeanine Thatcher Bosch Earth Angel On July First, Jeanine passed on in the presence of her family after a ten year struggle with the devastating effects of Huntingtons disease. On June 26, 1933, Jeanine was joyfully received into the family of Floyd H. And Phyllis Edwards Thatcher in Salt Lake City. After graduating from East High School, she attended the Holy Cross School of Nursing. She married Donald R. Bosch in 1953, and later worked in the operating room at Holy Cross Hospital just long enough to save for a down payment on the home in Bountiful where they raised their three children, Michael Bosch, Rebecca Blaine Weed (Bart) and Lori Bosch. Never one to be idle, at age 33 she entered the University of Utah, graduated with honors and began a 27 year career as an elementary school teacher in the Davis School District. Jeanine thoroughly enjoyed teaching, always searching for ways to connect with each and every student. She was ahead of her time, truly leaving no child behind. She won many honors, including an appointment to the Utah State Professional Practices Advisory Commission. She has continued to demonstrate her love for education by donating her body to the U of U Medical School to further the knowledge of these students. When her body could do what she wanted it to do, she lived life to the fullest. She loved to ski, play tennis and play golf with her cherished friends at the Oakridge Country Club, where she was a past president of the ladies organization. She kept her mind sharp by playing bridge with several different groups and she also enjoyed reading, knitting, doing ceramics and solving crossword puzzles. She loved scrambled eggs, coffee, chocolate eclairs and Cummings caramels. She faced her disease with courage, saying "everybody has something" and never ever complained regarding her condition. We are so proud of her! She is survived and loved by her husband, her children, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly. The family extends deep gratitude and love to Lupe, Cheri, Janice, Riley and Steve for the loving care they gave to Jeanine. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, July 6th at the gazebo at the Country Springs Condominiums, approximately 140 West and 1750 North in Bountiful from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakridge Country Club, 1492 West Shepard Lane in Farmington, Utah. Online condolences may be emailed to [email protected] In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Huntington Disease Foundation. They can be reached at www.hdsa.org
