SARATOGA SPRINGS - Marion C. Sullivan passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Saratoga Hospital.

She was 89.

Born Dec. 3, 1919, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Corrinne (Condon) Elsasser. She was the wife of the late William Sullivan.

Marion graduated from New York University with a bachelor's degree in social work. She was employed by the Department of Social Services of New York City.

Marion was a devout communicant of St. Clement's Church and a member of the Rosary and Altar societies.

She loved spending time at their farmhouse on Willard Mountain in Easton before moving to Saratoga.

Marion loved life and her family beyond measure. She adored her two grandsons, Chris and Brian, and her two great-grandsons, Ricky and David. She was an integral part of her family's life on a daily basis. She touched everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Charles Elsasser.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen, and her husband, John Peoples, of Wilton; her two grandsons, Christopher and his wife, Kim Gimbel, of Wilton, and Brian and his wife, Samantha, of Stuttgart, Germany; and her great-grandchildren, Ricky and David Gimbel of Wilton.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, 584-5373.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, with the Rev. Paul J. Borowski, C.Ss.R., officiating.

Burial will be in the family plot in Greenwich Cemetery.

Memorials in Marion's name may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301; or to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
